Just wanted to give everyone a little heads up. I've been a bit busy these days. I moved back home to stay here for a while. Before that, I was messing around with my new logo, because I want to get it on the site and get rid of that ugly under construction banner. I was also playing around with dm17, replacing the textures and stuff. Basicly, preparing things for my next movie project. The rocket launcher remake priority is lower now, first I'd have to finish that hard surface tutorial (which is awesome by the way). More news soon.

ASUS RoG Movie contest

Yesterday, there was a news posted on ESR about a gaming movie making competition. I though that it could be a nice idea to make a frag highlights movie from the recent DreamHack Summer QuakeLive LAN tourney. I left a comment about it under that news post, and I got some positive response which reassured me about participating in the contest. There's not much time left though - the deadline is 10th of July. So I have 18 days to make and upload the movie to youtube. It'll be a nice test, I wonder how much can I make in such a short period. So yeah, for the time being, I'm putting the DM17 project aside. I'm going to download and watch all the DH demos today (or at least, that's the plan) :)

huhu, again it's been a while since the last time I've posted, sorry about that :) Studies and student life occupy nearly all of my free time.

For anyone interested, I'm still accepting demos for my next project, actually I didn't get any recently.

I didn't start working on it yet though. But no worries, time isn't going to waste, right now I'm working on a short clip for my roommate, I'm using after effects to add some fancy stuff. It's pretty much the first serious time I'm using it and I'm learning tons. I'm especially interested in 3D effects and animations cause I want to use some of those in my next quake movie.

The short clip will be available on youtube, but not on my channel, I'll make a post when it's done and paste a link to it. It won't be anything spectacular though, so don't expect much. :)

Next week - busy week

Today I watched the whole Rapha's POV from the global finals, it took me about 2,5 of an hour. And there's nothing special about it, each pov takes me about the same amount of time. But this week I'll do my best to watch at least one POV per day. I'd like to have this stage of making the movie behind already and start some footage capturing / editing stuff, which is way more fun. Few days ago I've tweaked a nice movie config. I'm thinking about uploading a short video on youtube to demonstrate it.. hm, yeah possibly gonna do that this week.. maybe a short trailer? Who knows :)

Still watching demos.. It's taking longer then I thought it would. Additionally, I've been playing more CTF PCW's with my clan recently, we're getting ready for bibs season #3.

Still have to watch demos from av3k, calipt, fox, k1llsen and stermy.

Those demos do not contain too many outstanding frags, what makes me think about adding other continental finals to the movie. I'd add frags from the global finals as well, since they're starting soon.. hmm

Also, I'm still thinking about the music.. There's an awesome song on my mind all the time, but it was already used in a popular COD4 frag movie :/ I might also use some classical 'epic' music from Hans Zimmer.. or some electronics.. or idk really.. Maybe some suggestions?

Just downloaded over 280mb's of demos from ESL site. Which means that I officially started working on the IEM4 Euro Finals Frag highlights vid. huhu :> I also started looking around for some fresh music. Next weekend I'll start watching the demos

New movie - seventeen

Almost a week ago my latest movie for the tek9 minivideo contest was released. It's called seventeen. It's a one map video with midair rockets only. Unlike 'Zero' I didn't use any colour correction as well as no motion blur. If you like it, register @ tek-9.org and rate it :) After the community voting is over I'll upload it to youtube and add a download mirror from Maverick.

I also started gathering demos for future projects. More info here.

I'm also starting work on another video, hah. Frag highlights from the IEM4 european finals! Gonna be epic :o
