Rocket Launcher remake - part 4

I didn't finish the detailing yet, after a while my hand began to hurt a bit, I was using my girlfriend's graphic tablet and I'm not used to it yet. Anyway, the details are sketched out, and I've added some gray here and there to make the metal parts look a bit like metal.

I don't like how the details look sort of organic right now, I'll have to read a bit about hard surface sculpting.

Few days ago Paul Steed passed away, he was a very talented 3D game artist mostly known for his work at Id software with the first three quakes. I picked up a book of his about modeling and animating game characters. It's a fun read and I'm learning a lot too. In the following week I'll try to model a low-poly character. Not sure about the theme yet, but I'll figure something out.

  1. I am thinking about making real life version of this model. That is how I found your website. This series of posts will really help me. Thank you and good job too. I hope you will continue this project.

  2. Ah, that's awesome! Yeah, I want to finish this project for sure. I'm kind of busy with all sort of stuff right now though. And as you probably noticed, I started a couple of projects and didn't finish one yet.. I guess I should really focus on one thing, haha:)

Anyway, I'm also looking forward to seeing your real life version of the RL!

  3. Hello, it is me again (real-life RL model dude). I have imported md3 file to MilkShape3D but the model is texture-less. Also I have no idea how to use this program. All I need is few orthographic projections presenting Rocket Launcher from every direction. Would it be rude if I asked you to make few (precisely 4) screenshots for me? I need them to be just like those images in your first post about RL remake (third picture [from front] and fourth picture [left side]). Of course if you are currently busy then it is absolutely OK to say „no”. :)

Views I need: from above, from below, right side and rear view.
Thanks in advance and best regards!

  10. How about Machine Gun? :)

Just as previously: orthographic projections from above, from below, right side, left side, rear view, front view (with textures).

Also it would be great if you could arrange something like this; two pictures of MG and RL in the same scale (both right sides). This will allow me to properly scale it to RL I already made.

    Thanks. :)
